This article covers what happens after you apply, why you may be approved for less than you asked for, and what to do if you're declined.
How long does a decision take?
Many applications get an instant decision. Some need a manual review by our credit team. We email you as soon as a decision is made. If we need more information, such as bank statements or a personal guarantee, we'll email you a request, and the review continues once you send it.
Why was I approved for less than I requested?
Your credit limit depends on your business's credit profile compared with the amount you asked for. If we can't approve the full amount, we may approve a lower one so you can start buying right away.
To request a higher limit later:
- Log in at app.resolvepay.com.
- On the home page, click Request higher credit line.
- Enter the amount you need and a short reason.
- If there is no option to request, please email us at help@resolvepay.com and we can assist you.
Some requests are approved instantly. Others are reviewed within 1–2 business days. Paying on time builds the history that supports an increase. Full steps: Request Credit Line Adjustment.
Why was I declined?
We look at business revenue and cash flow, past trade credit, and the credit profile of the business and, in some cases, its owner. Minimum requirements are in Business Credit Eligibility: Requirements and Guidelines. Your decision email lists the main factors behind the decision.
Can I ask for a review?
Yes. A second review is most likely to help when we didn't see your full financial picture. Reply to your decision email or write to help@resolvepay.com with:
- Your business name, and the supplier you applied through
- Recent bank statements, or connect your bank through Plaid (how it works)
You can also ask to be considered for a smaller limit to build payment history.
Can I still buy while I wait?
Yes. You can still pay your supplier upfront by card or ACH. Ask your supplier which options they accept.
